Kelley Dean

Kelly Dean

Research Associate CSU

After spending 4 years in the United States Coast Guard, I used my Veteran Benefits to earn my Degree in Meteorology (B.S., 1984) from Florida State University. Working in the private sector for only a year, I moved to Fort Collins in September 1985, to work for the Cooperative Institute for Research in the Atmosphere (CIRA) at Colorado State University. From the start, I had the opportunity to work with "real-time" weather satellite imagery, watching weather systems develop around the world. Recently, I joined The GLOBE Program team at Colorado State University to analyze the data collected by the GLOBE schools from around the world to better understand the environment we live in.
