My home is in Sidney, Iowa a small rural town in southwest Iowa. Quilting and working in my flower garden are things I enjoy when not teaching. Currently I am the Talented and Gifted Facilitator 2-12 for the Shenandoah Community Schools. Some of the academic activities I am and have been involved with are the NASA New teacher program, Globe teacher, DATA Streme Participant, and the AMS Maury Project. Professional organizations I belong to are the National Education Association and NSTA. Presently I am the Facilitator for Mentors of Shenandoah’s new teachers, Advanced Placement coordinator for school district, teacher and facilitator for “Iowa Excellence” an after school program and grant through The Belin & Blank International Center for Gifted Education and Talent Development, University of Iowa, member of the Education Technology Advisory Committee State of Iowa, Executive Board member for Iowa State Education Association, and a member of southwest Iowa Work Force Committee. As a teacher of thirty five years I firmly believe in life long learning.
